The house of Bishops of Anglican church sitting at Acaki Hotel in kitgum Diocese on 16th February 2025 , has elected Rev.Canon Gaster Nsereko as the 7th Bishop of west Buganda .
Rev. Canon Gaster was born on 15th July 1965 in Bbira -Nakuwadde in Busiro- Wakiso
He was ordained a Deacon on 9th December 1989 at St .Andrew cathedral Namukozi Mityana Diocese and priested on 10th December 1990 at the same cathedral.
He was made a Canon on 7th January 2010 at St .Paul's Cathedral kako on west Buganda
He is married to mrs .Sarah Nsereko and God blessed them with three children.
He holds a Bachelor of Divinity from Uganda Christian University, A Diploma in primary Education from institute of primary teachers Education kyambogo.
He is currently the Archdeacon of Kakoma Archdeaconary and vicar of St.Johns' Kakoma church of Uganda in west Buganda Diocese.
He previously severed as provost of St.paul's cathedral kako, Subdean , achidean of masaka Archdeaconary.
