The executive Director of Uganda communication commission UCC , Nyombi Ttembo has called on the Chief of Defense Force ,Gen Muhoozi kainerugaba to expedite plan to take journalists and media practitioners to kyankwanzi for capacity building sessions .
Speaking, during the meeting with media sector managers on Friday 22 August, The UCC boss emphasized the importance of equiping journalists with knowledge of national priorities." Journalists are key partners in a national development, taking them to kyankwanzi for orientation will strengthen their understanding of our country's priorities and promote responsible reporting ", he said .
Nyombi said that this initiative is about proffesional growth , patriotism and equiping media practitioners to a balance freedom of expression with national interest.
