Traffic police in Luwero are investigating a fatal road accident that occurred today, Sunday, 15 March 2026, at approximately 0400 hours in Kiwumpa village, Luwero Town Council, along the Gulu-Kampala highway Luwero district.
Two motor vehicles were involved: an Isuzu bus (registration UAL 821N) belonging to Real Company, and an Isuzu Hino (registration UA 951AF, white in colour).
It is alleged that both vehicles were travelling in the same direction from Luwero towards Kampala, Isuzu bus lost control and rammed into the rear of the Isuzu Hino.
The driver of the bus, Mukembo David (male adult), and his conductor died at the scene.
Two unidentified male adult passengers from the bus sustained injuries and were rushed to Luwero General Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the hospital mortuary pending postmortem examination.
The scene has been visited and documented by police officers. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
