Key points to note .

The NRM parliamentary caucus yesterday unanimously resolved to support the proposed amendments to the UPDF Act as presented by Attorney General kiryowa kiwanuka.

The chair person of the caucus also the government chief whip Hamson Obua addressing the key points after the NRM caucus at the state house Entebbe. Said the resolution in respect to the supreme court ruling were on the following broad principles;

1) The misconduct by serving military personnel be tried , in the first instance by the military court martial with the right of Appeal through the civilian courts .

2) The civilians who acquire specificied firearms illegally be tried by the military court martial in the first instance with the right of Appeal through the civilian courts 

3) The provision be  made to provide for the rights of Appeal from decisions of court martial to civilian court .
