Police started attacking journalists Ahead of general election..

 Uganda Jounalist Association interim statement on brutal attack on journalist Miracle Ibra on 26/25 

We are very disturbed by the brutal attack on one of our member .Miracle Ibra , a journalist with Top tv who has been badly hit  today with an explosure by the security personnel who in a line of professional duty.

Ibra was attacked when he was covering story of a blocked NUP flag bearer for kawempe North by-election at kawempe mbogo .

Shockingly , the journalist had put his media house jacket when he was brutally attacked by the security personnel .

We strongly condemned this Act of impunity by the security personnel who are in charged with the duty of ensuring the protection of journalists .

Going forward, we are going to announce our next move in respect to that promptly after the on going assessment. UJA
