 The ministry of Finance has tabled the Appropriation Bill 2025, indicating that the resources envelope for next year's National Budget amount to shs71,956,621,530,685 up from the shs 57.441 Trillion submitted in the National Budget framework paper and is also lower than the shs72.139Trn budget for the current FY 2024/25

Henry musaasizi , minister of state for finance defended the increase in figure saying additional funds are needed for the 2026 general election and the Africa cup of Nations.
