The Territorial police in Nakasongola district are investigating a case of fatal accident that occurred yesterday on sunday 8th June 2025 , at 2030/c in kyalwezac village wabinyonyi subcounty Nakasongola along Kampala -Gulu high involving motor vehicles registration number UA 415AV Toyota Hiance white in colour driven by unknown that claimed lives of five people and injured six other
. It's further allegedly that MV Toyota was coming from Kampala side at a very high speed and left a lane and collided with Nissan which was coming from Gulu side hence killing five people on spot .and six injured .
The victims were rushed to Nakasongola health centre 1v and kyiryandong hospital for treatment , the deceased were conveyed to Nakasongola health centre IV for postmortem and all vehicles were towed to katuugo park for inspection .
The bodies of the deceased have been identified as
Birungi phiona from Nebbi
Jugemu Patrick from Nebbi
Kalule Johnson from Mpigi
Two bodies are not yet identified.
