NRM has submitted more than 2.2 million signatures to the National Electoral commission endorsing president Yoweri kaguta Museveni asthe party's flagbearer in the 2026 General Elections.
Speaking at the handover , NRM secretary General Richard Todwong said the signatures fat exceed the minimum legal requirement of 100 signatures from at least 80 districtd " we are taking more than two million signatures to the E.C in fulfilment of one requirement for our chairman and flagbearer to be nominated"
Todwong also expressed high optimism that the collected signatures indicates the overwhelming support the part has across the country and would translate into landslide victories for both the president and other NRM candidates.
