Mp aspirant Kabugu Amon rides bicycle campaign to Lumpewe, vows to fight land grabbing and improve social services
Residents of Lumpewe in Nakaseke Central constituency, welcomed Hon aspirant Kabugu Amon for Nakaseke Central,who arrived for his community engagement riding a bicycle . Hon Amon is well-known in the areas as a jackfruit seller, highlighted some of the most pressing issues facing Nakaseke, starting with land grabbing, which he described as a growing threat to rural households. He promised to champion stronger legal protection for land owners and expose individuals.
He also emphasized the need for clean water distribution .Amon pledged to lobby for increased investments in boreholes ,piped water system and rehabilitation of broken water points.
On health services, Amon criticized the current state of facilities,noting that even ambulance are often borrowed from Nakaseke south. He emphasized to work towards fully equipped health centers and better emergency responses for rural communities.
Amon further revealed that one of his first actions in parliament would be to table a bill on tax reduction , arguing that heavy taxation limits agricultural growth.
Residents urged him to address Teacher's salary increasment and electricity shortage.
