The territorial police in Nakaseke district is currently investigating a violent attack on Nakaseke LC5 vice chairman.Mr Mavuuma Richard .The incident occured last night at around 10:30pm in katale zone ,semuto town council as Mr . Mavuuma Richard was returning home .
Unknown assailants armed with pangas ,and sticks waylaid Mr Mavuuma at his gate inflicting deep cuts and injuries . During the assault his vehicle was also vandalized.. The motives behind this brutal attack remain unclear .
ASP . Savannah region Afande Twine Sam said that "The police responded promptly and have commenced the investigation. The canine units were deployed , although their efforts were hindered due to interference at the scene by local residents. The investigations are on going."'
