The NRM central Executive Committee (CEC) has rejected the kawempe by-election results that were announced on Friday morning. The ruling party's top organ met yesterday under the chairmanship of H.E Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and resolved to instruct its lawyers to legally challenge the results in the courts of law for justice to prevail .
CEC released a statement through secretary General Hon Richard Todwang .
The polling stations in kawempe North by-election were 197 and only 15 polling stations were not counted.
